Index, Lake Serene - Foggy forest in the clouds near Lake Serene

Bridal Veil Falls, Index, WA

The west slope of the Cascades gets around twice as much rain as the Puget Sound basin. On this morning, it felt more like an ark would be necessary. On my way up to the main (upper) Bridal Veil falls, the clouds parted just enough to get this neat shot of the forest in the clouds. Cascadia is beautiful even on a rainy day!
